Casa São Roque has the honour of welcoming the Cupertinos for an exclusive concert to celebrate Three Kings’ Day on 5 January at 6pm.
Meet the Cupertinos
Internationally recognised, the Cupertinos are true ambassadors of Portuguese polyphony, dedicated to preserving and interpreting music from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The Cupertinos have consolidated their prominent place in classical music. In 2019, they were honoured with the prestigious Gramophone Classical Music Award and, in 2021, they won Best Classical/Erudite Music Album at the Play Awards – Portuguese Music Awards. On 5 January, you’ll have the chance to witness live the virtuosity of this group that takes Lusitanian harmonies all over the world.
The Cupertinos dedicate themselves almost exclusively to Portuguese music from the 16th and 17th centuries, performing compositions by renowned masters such as Duarte Lobo, Manuel Cardoso, Filipe de Magalhães and Pedro de Cristo. It will be a musical journey to the golden age of polyphony, enriched by the unique atmosphere of Casa São Roque.
