Ornata House
German artist Kerstin Brätsch presents her most ambitious installation and site-specific exhibition to date, turning the rooms of this eclectic house inside out — like infinitely malleable dreamscapes.
Visitors will embark on a journey through colour and form, videos, painting and drawing, wallpaper and kites — an immersive experience akin to walking through an inner world, a soul surrendered to perpetual abstraction.
PETER MEEKER COLLECTION WORKS FROM 1988-2024
This exhibition presents a selection of works from the Peter Meeker Collection, an important private contemporary art collection in Porto. It is significant for three reasons: firstly, it is a real collection, not an accumulation. Many people may have the good fortune to collect art, but very few have a collection that is anything more than a wonderful accumulation. Among the few who have a collection, there are even fewer who have one that is significant. But that is the case here, because this collector (Peter Meeker is a pseudonym for Pedro Álvares Ribeiro) collects in depth.

Peter Meeker Collection: Works from 1982 – 2023 is an extensive exhibition on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of Casa São Roque – Centro de Arte in Porto, Campanhã. It presents selection from Peter Meeker’s (Pedro Álvares Ribeiro’s) international art collection, which started in the 1980s in Porto, includes 40 artists and over 600 artworks. Based on the long term friendships and dedication to the collected artists, in many cases it attained extensive representations of their oeuvres and artistic series, which nowadays have become canonical.
